Pours a hazy dark amber with orange highlights and a one finger foamy white head that settles slowly. Aroma is generally light with some notes of pine, citrus, honey, earthy, orange peel, fresh flowers, almost some smoky and woody notes. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of fresh flowers, spice, honey, caramel, and some light early and floral hops notes. Generally light to medium body with a bitter finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Pours copper/amber with a thin white head. Smells resiny with some earthy hints. Tastes citrussy and bitter with some tea like hints on the finish. Nebulor (109), , California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Pours an off copper color with lots of the off white head and lacing more like a Belgian IPA. The hop smell of florals dominates the sweet malt background. The taste of lime flavored hops also dominates the sweet malt. The mouthfeel has a sourness that is not to bitter or astringent. Drinkability would be better on tap although this is quite tolerable compared to other organic IPAs and this, to me, is a Belgian IPA. Dorwart (1814), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Hmmm, no exhaltation upon opening, no head at all and a bit of crud around the cap. I am guessing this was not sealed properly and may be bad. Floral and citrusy hops aroma. Bit of caramel malts and some dried orange peel. Color is a slightly hazy copper brown. Pretty much flat. Lots of harsh roasted grains and dried red peanut skins. Very bitter. Slightest bit of fizz in the mouth. Finishes bitter and kind of watery. May just be the lack of carbonation though. Might have been good if in good condition. Otherwise an ok IPA. DuffMan (2756), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Orange-tinted gold, robust white head leaving early lacing. Rich caramel malt in equal portion to fruity resinous hops. Good malt structure, loaded with perfumey floral hops, moderately bitter finish. Very nice. drpimento (819), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Academically interesting beer. Poured wiht a decent little head and some lace. Aroma was a mild malty citrusy hop. Color is a light to medium amber gold and fairly clear. Taste is a citrusy hop that is sweet on the tongue tip and bitter on back. Kind of a weird flavor in there too. Ok, but nothing special. Had better. So so finish. jcdsmack (88), Henderson, Nevada, USA
