DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA Dec 29, 2008 Bottle. Moderately sweet caramel earthy aroma. Reddish body, light tan head. Flavor is moderately bitter, with some fruitiness and caramel. A very nice amber ale. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Oct 26, 2008 Bomber pours deep copper with a bit of haze and off white head. The aroma has decent strength with citrus, near grassy hops mixed with stale wet cardboard maltiness, cherries and faint caramel. The taste is much the same starting with a pulse of hops and cherry cough syrup and mild stale maltiness. By midway the hops grow to become pine and grapefruit as a modest roasted malt note is noticed. It ends stale, mildly hoppy and with the hops lingering into the after taste. phobos1031 (71), Paradise, Nevada, USA Aug 25, 2008 22oz bottle. really creamy head, dep red amber color. did i say creamy? ithink thios is the frothiest brew i’ve poured in a long time. i dig it, but i fear some other brews from this place might a little too....um, gay.
Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Very cloudy amber pour with a big off white head. Strong hop aroma and taste overpowers (in a nice way) the subtle caramel. Pretty Good. junon (210), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA May 3, 2008 Beautiful milky red amber. Nice lasting creamy head thats more typical in a stout. Coats the mouth rather nicely more so than I remember from similar beers. Very nice through and through. At 6% I think it masks it extremely well. jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Mar 28, 2008 Bottle pours a reddish amber color with a medium white head. Sweet aroma that includes malt and caramel. Flavor is sweet but hoppy. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Mar 20, 2008 From a bomber, pours medium amber with a good off-white head, good amount of lacing. Sweet red beer with nice amount of bitter, piney hops. Well balanced. Nice dry finish. Well recommended. bikesandbeers (468), Los Angeles, California, USA Feb 10, 2008 22oz bottle from Hi-Times wine cellars, costa mesa, CA. Purchase July 2207, consumed Jan 08.
