| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Bottle: Super murky with chunks and a monster tan head! Even with the most gentle pour, I had about an inch of beer and the rest of the glass was suds. I had to scopp some out because it wouldn’t die down. It has a wonderfully hoppy aroma of citrus, pine needles and dust. The taste is bitter hoppy as well, but it seems that the bitterness is just bitter with not much character or flavor to it. Nevertheless, I still like it. The medium body is nice and the feel has a dry finish. The aftertaste has some weird bitter cardboard taste to it which I could do without. Caramelized orange peel hop character with a fresh grain profile over a touch of roasted fruit and malt sweetness. Very grain-forward flavors with a pleasant bit of astringency. Few roasted malt flavors and malt sweetness in this profile--a welcome change. Mild, well-integrated bitterness with a light, well-balanced body. Bosco (65), Boca Raton, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2006 22oz bottle. Nutty, cloudy brown with off-white soapy head. Thick head held back aroma for quite a few minutes. Many reviews here refer to an infected bottle, but I don’t beleive that mine was. Lively, continually active carbonation with short bite on the tongue. Not bad...better than expected.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 27, 2006 Pours bronze-red, with a HUGE fluffy head. Aroma is pretty hoppy. Flavor is pretty good, well balanced with nice hops and malts. The palate is very creamy, interesting. I too am wondering why it was rated so low. One of the best amber ales I’ve ever had. 22oz bottle
Pours a hazy bronze body and a tall off white head. I guess the beer is supposed to be bottle conditioned? There is a lot of muck at the bottom of the bottle. The aroma is a rather pleasant punch of spicy / resiny hops; some bold citruis as well. The flavor holds a biscuity malt backbone… some brown sugar & wild oats, but most noticeably, a nice West Coast hop on the tale end. A pretty tasty beer… not one that I would suspect will hold up on the shelf very well, but fresh, it’s very appetizing. - Why is it rated so low?

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 10, 2006 The aroma is herbal hops and a heavy dose of caramel and toasted malt. The appearance is deep amber with an unimpressive head. The flavor is exactly like the flavor. The palate seems good for amber ale. The aftertaste is bitter. This is probably one of the better organic ales around.
