hershiser2 (847), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 12, 2004 Medium copper to light brown in appearance. Good head. Smells slightly of apples and copper. Taste is malty as hell... roasty and deep. herbjones (742), Orange, California, USA Apr 19, 2003 Pours a nice dark honey color. Head quickly disappears into a halo of tiny bubbles around the edge of the glass. Nose is biscuity with very little hop presence. Flavor is disappointingly middle of the road as is the body. Reading the label led me to think I was in for a colossal "C" hop bombing. Unfortunately I got an average APA. Nothing special.
DrunkAsASkunk (848), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Feb 12, 2003 This one poured a very fiery orange color with very light carbonation and a thin but creamy froth white head that laced moderately on the glass. Heavenly aromas of malt, grain, fruit and citrus, with the grain aspect dominating. The taste begins with an excessive malt front followed up by a nice Cascade hop bittering which dries the palate and allows the sweet malt to really work its effect in the aftertaste. Those Cascade hops are just everywhere these days. Nice palate feel, low carbonation, and nice dry ending sweetness. A nice pickup, thanks to beerguy101 for sending it my way. psychodrama311 (122), petaluma, Nevada, USA Dec 21, 2002 one of the few pale’s i can stand. nice malty flavor. helps that it is straight out of the tap. jazz88 (2206), San Francisco, California, USA Nov 6, 2002 Tap @ brewery. Amber color. Good citrus in the aroma which balances with the hops. Malty flavor.
