A bold and lively aroma of sweet dark fruit and thew slightest scent of root beer as well. The flavor hides a minimal amount of sweetness while a tart and light bitterness is the main course of the drink. Only has a hint of raisin, plum, fig and dates. Appearance is a dark tint of red with a fine layer of film. Actually, I thought this was a nice and interesting drink. shp555 (1776), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2007 650 ml, 2006 vintage. Clear, dark copper-brown with a large cap that settles in, and leaves some creamy lace. Dark fruit, alcohol, and tart cherry aroma. Bold front flavor of dark fruit and alcohol, with slight bubblegum. Less sweet finish is bready, woody, and spicy with yeast and hops. Smooth, medium body is fairly balanced, with a slight dry finish. Good, but alcohol is a bit too noticeable for my tastes.
