One of 19 non-alcoholic brews I tried during a 4-month deployment in Kuwait, because that’s all I could get. 10/30/05 (bottle): Of all the beers to be drinking in Kuwait! I used to live down the street from the Bitburger plant and this is the first time I’ve tried this. Maybe it’s my imagination, but all these NA’s seem darker. This is yellow-orange with virtually no head. Stark sweet malt aroma. Very starchy bite right up front. Bit of a fruit rind texture.

Medium gold body with a frothy white head. The aroma has carrots and tomato plants. There is nothing unpleasant, but it’s strange. The taste is light with some celery and a little bit of bread crust. The finish is a little bitter with some grapefruit rind. Not bad.

Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor. This is one of the better non-alcoholic beers on the market.

so, this was in the fridge in my uncle’s garage so i decided what the hell i have a few pale ales to drink after and then some macro lite beer to drink tonight. this pours a filtered apple juice body with a decent white head that shrinks quickly. the aroma is vegetable and vanilla. . grain flavor with tootrhpicks. still, for an n/a beer it is better than expected. a copper finish is rather bad though.

Sparkling clear golden; aroma is much like the regular version, slightly more sour. The taste is rather unsatisfying, though - not the same crisip bite of the regular, instead this has a thin mouthfeel and a sour skunkiness and a zinc finish that leaves me wishing I’d ordered a San Pelegrino instead.

I am not that fond of this one but those who enjoy European style lagers will like it. It has that distinctive aroma somewhat like cardboard and yeast with wheat. The appearance looks like about any other lager but it has a smallish head. The flavor is obviously not robust but its also not super weak. And you can taste the hops. It also has a sour taste I don’t like but it certainly is more complex than many of the style. Grassy, metallic aftertaste. This one is a mixed bad of both good and bad.

Perhaps my favorite NA. It is very light, but considering the ulternatives it fits the bill. A little hops and a refreshing carbonation.

(Bottle 33 cl) Golden beer with a small head. Naturally rather light-bodied, but still it comes with a surprisingly real beer feel to it. Not bready and sticky sweet as often in this style. Has a fine, discreet bitterness. A very decent representative for it’s style. 111101
