I tried this beer on August 18, 2008 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The bveer poured a translucent pale gold with a generous white rocky head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was grainy malts with some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, and mildly carbonated. The flavour was more grainy malt with a bitter hop finish. Easy to drink, but not memorable. hector2413 (2), , Mexico does not count | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 22, 2009 espuma blanca y ligera, carbonatada como pilsner , sabor un poco amargo y metalico, color amarillento trayns (242), Beverly Hills, Michigan, USA

With a beautiful golden color, Bitburger Pils on tap is crystal clear. However, there was no head to evaluate, nor was there any beading of carbonation. So, there was no lace.
Surprisingly, the flavor was clean and crisp, yet it was almost "round" like an ale. I would prefer some more hop to round out the taste.
The carbonation of the beer was good, like a pilsner should be. The beer was light, but not watery.
In summary, this was an okay brew--no harm, no foul. An innocent beer that would offend very few.
