Commercial Description:
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

Bottle and Can. It is my favorite German style beer. Has that skunky smell and flavor of German beers. Easy to drink.

Pours a beautiful golden color with a very nice white head. Aroma is classic German, spicy hop and traditional german maltiness. Flavor is crisp, clean refreshing with a dry refreshing finish.

A- Pours a clear pale yellow hue with a modest white head that is mostly diminishing and fair lacing S- Smooth and crisp aroma with very little going on besides some slight sweet malts and grassy hops T- Initial taste is mostly light, grainy, and sweet malts, than transitions to a smooth, clean taste and finishes with slight dry and bitter grassy hops M- Light-bodied, slick texture, good carbonation D- A solid and easy-drinking German pilsener, easily in the session beer range, good in a pinch but nothing too outstanding.

Not much there. Head disappears quickly. Aroma and taste are metallic and grainy.

A classic German Pils! If you like hops, this is a good one! It’s got a healthy bitterness, but it is well compensated by a dry and sweet under tone. Grainy aroma. Decent, creamy head, with high carbonation. This is a great one to drink on a hot day. I generally prefer malty beers to bitter ones, but Bitburger is a welcome exception. well available in the U.S. and Europe and that is not surprising. It’s a real good one!

11/19/08 From the bottle. Aroma is lightly sweet malt forward with sour noble blending and faint dms. Appearance is clear yellow with a moderate maintained white head. Flavor is lightly sweet malt forward with medium noble bittering. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a high carb texture and slightly wet finish. Overall, maltier than expected, which makes it easier drinking but less to style.

0,33 L bottle. Quite pale short white head. Light, grassy hop nose and some honey malt undertones. Herbal hops factor strong into the taste with light coppery malt hint. Leaves the mouth grassy and a tad metallic and dry. Light feel.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a yellow gold color with a thin white head. Average head retention and good lacing. Grassy and slightly bitter hop aroma. Taste is primarily cereal like graininess. Medium bodied.
