Commercial Description:
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

Poured a clear light yellow with some carb bubbles rising in the glass. The foamy white head of about 1" goes to just a film with only light lacing. There was a bit of a grassy hop aroma with a slight citrus scent too. The initial taste was crisp & clean. A slight hop citrus flavor initially that developes a mild hop bite on the finish. There was good carbonation in the beer. This was just ok, nothing special.

Pours a nice clear golden color with a fluffy white head. The smell is grainy with a bit of herbal hints. The taste is rather grassy mixed with the grain and herbs found in the smell. A little bit of hops attempts to balance these flavors but it doesn’t quite get there. The feel is lite on the tongue and the carbonation is done well. This is an easy brew to put down. Not too much to this one and it is very grassy, but good for a summer brew on a hot day. Reviewed on: 05-23-2007

Draft at Pub Italia in Ottawa. Familiar smell of German hops. Has a dull yellow-golden colour. Very typical German taste of hop and malt accent. Clean finish. A pretty standard German pilsener, kind of boring, but nothing to complain about.

Pours pale yellow with slim white head from 12 oz bottle. Aroma is malty; smells like ale wort. Bubble gum and clove flavors akin to a weak hefe, with a dry finish. Too effervescent.

bottle. Clear pale yellow, large white head, hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, hints of dough, bread and grain, with some hoppy flavours. Very light in flavour. Oh dear....

12 oz. into shaker. Watery pour thin head - white, no lacing doesn’t hold long. Even lighter gold than michelob Ultra. Smells like air with a trace amount of corn and just a hint of pale malt and a bit of skunky hops. Flavor isn’t nearly as bad as aroma and appearance (still not great) - sweet corn (almost like belgian candi sugar was added) and earthy hops on the finish, Thin, but not as watery and worthless as macro lagers - medium carbonation with a little bit of texture and volume on the mouth feel. Overall: if I wanted to chug beer I would go with this. If I wanted to drink a beer I would buy something of better quality for the same value.

Bottle 0,5lt: One of the common traditional German lagers, golden looks, grassy start, and good bitter finish.
