Commercial Description:
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

Fairly dry with a neat little hop kick that turned on you as you drank it. Pretty basic beer and less exciting than many.

I lived right across from the Bitburger brewery and know first hand about this beer. It wasn’t one of my favorites. Initially it has the skunky smell. It has an initial smoothness but turns bitter quickly as it gets in the back of the mouth. The finishes is not clean. The aroma is light with a hint of hops.

At the Frankfurt airport for lack of choice. I guess this is like Budweiser inthe U.S., but since Europe does macro beer better than the U.S., it was a step above.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow, white head. Aroma is hops, malt. Flavor is the same. This is a run of the mill pilsener, nothing complicated or special here.

Essa é uma alemã "de resistência", com esquema comercial parecido, na Alemanha, com as nossas Brahmas e afins. Como a maioria das industriais de "larga escala", é sofrível, e desonra a tradição alemã. Só pra turistas.

06/01 0.5 l can from Spar in Semriach. This turned out to be quite elusive a bit souther. It poured pale yellow body with medium bigger head. Fine aroma of lemon, flower and grass hops with just a bit malt. Flavor bitter of course, bit honeyish but ruined by the touch of metallicity. Oily textured with not too much carbonation. Finish is bittersweet and rather short. I expected more, but it is not bad as it is.

12oz. As I remember when I lived in Germany, a fairly average pilsener. Grass in the nose with some cereal malt and slight sweetness in the mouth and then it is gone. Good carbonation.
