Commercial Description:
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

light and refreshing beer, very weak aroma, very thin head, pale yellow. Easy to drink, almost like a light beer

Pours a pale yellow with a foamy head that disolves to a thin lightly sticky head. Aroma reminds me of hay rides. The flavour is interesting, it starts out with a strong hoppy bitterness and a lightly saltyness, the bitterness fades in the middle, the end is malty, honey sweet, and finish is bitter. The beer over all is pretty solid, but has low drinkablilty for a pilsner.

Bottle: Pours light straw with very mild saaz aroma. Little to no head, although carbonated. Light palate with a little soapy-like aftertaste that’s bitter. Not bad, but had better. Thanks Carsten for bring the beer.

I must’ve had a bad can. This was astringent, funky, and metallic, and that was just the aroma. Not a Pilsener, not a Lager, not an Ale -- was like a pocketful of dirty old pennies in bubbly water.

Tap Hessen, Germany- Sweaty aroma. Pretty head, yet does not hold up long. Nice full-mouthed body, yet finishes nice and clean and a bit hoppy.

Very good german pilsener... Nice hop aroma, ok head. Malt taste with hops. Could be better, but I can´t complain.

On tap on 6/22/07: Pours a transparent clear pale golden with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malt and some earthy noble hops with a hint of corn. Starts with a full, biting carbonation and faintly sweet, light malt along with earthy bittering hops. Unassertive and rather stale pilsner.

330 ml bottle. Gold lager with a slight white head. Slightly sweet malt aroma with a whiff of hops. Flavour also inclined to sweetness with a tired hop finish. Ok.
