Unrefined medium sweet bready aroma with grassy notes. Taste is yeasty bakery and light sweetish malts with a hoppy touch. Medium body. Nice bitterness in the finish. A well made and reliable Pilsener. A good honest German pils.
Great with bbq, bratwurst, pork hocks or pizza. Nothing fancy here, but when you’re craving a regular beer, this beats the hell out of Bud or Blue. Stefano (1335), Esbjerg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2007 The year was 2002 and in a Croney and Barrow in the City of London I learnt that not all pils tatsed like Budweiser. So, 5 years on: Nose of honey, citrus, hopes and peach. Colour is an appetising honey yellow. Head is small and disappears quite quickly. Highky carbonated. Sweet mouthfeel with an unexpected softness. Finish is short and moderately dry. A touch of unwelcome alcohol intrudes but not to a great extent. An underated pils. 37steel (186), St. Charles, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Draft in Germany. Bright yellow with a white head. Grassy hoppy aroma. Smooth lager flavor. Not enough bitterness. A little watery. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Poured from a can. Fizzy yellow beer with an enormous and appealing rocky white head. Extremely grassy aroma and taste. Fairly thin. Beer somehow manages to achieve a skunkiness without light damage or old age. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2007 I had this one from the bottle. Not too bad for a German Pil. Hoppy, skunky aroma. Poured a standard gold color with minimul head and tasted, well, German. Clean, crisp and unoffensive but not anything special.
