Commercial Description:
The classic Bitburger - a mature and most agreeable beer - is brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years. The result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter - with a strong hop taste.

a typical german pilsner, average, nothing more nothing less. a good place to start a german beer drinking trip but then quickly move on to better and more sophisticated pilsners

xxx I’ve never been a huge fan of pilsners. I got this one at Zenos in State College, they have a great selection of beer, but this is not a great beer.

From my notes 5/30/2007 pours a three-finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Hoppy/grapefruit nose. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is balanced, late maltiness then slight lingering bitter aftertaste. 500ml glass on-tap (with meal) at Zum Domstein Restaurant Trier, Germany.

Bottle, in Berlin train station. Golden color with notes of malt and hop in aroma. Nice bitterness at finish.. Cerveja dourada com notas de lúpulo e malte no aroma, sabor com amargor na medida.
