(draught - name is Sour Prick.) Stunning bright red-pink; pink head, dissipating. Extremely nice clear, fresh and natural smell, full of exotic fruitaroma. Weird taste, but strikes as 100% natural fruit taste, just unknown, with a hint of fruit sugar behind. Malts or hops are simply not missed in this one. Mouthfeel is just perfect for the style - if that were Fruit (it isn't a lambic). Extremely refreshing, neither too light nor too big. A GABF judge told me this beer just failed to make it to the medals - to his big grief. I join him, and I think it is worth Platinum.

12 oz. Bottle [Pre-GABF party ’04] cloudy pinkish orange with a small head that dissolves quickly. Sour cherry with hints of watermelon, horse blanket funk and musty wood. The flavor is all that plus a slight fruity sweetness that helps balance the flavor. Acetic and leathery finish. Great beer.

12 oz. bottle aged for about 8 months. Amber to red (maybe cranberry) color with large carbonation head that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is tart (especially bret) and funky with a bit of strawberry. The flavor is tart, acetic, and leathery. It is nicely carbonated to deliver all the flavors mentioned. Thanks Tim & Brian for delivering this masterpiece to Austin!!

Another highlight from the GABF. Nice soft and dark red color with a murky appearance. Extremely abrasive, sour with some grassy and weed-like with a sour milky flavor as well. Cherry pits, big flavors all around, beyond a simple fruit lambic... the sourness is phenomenal, with the right balance of fruti flavor and sour grassy, woody lambic.

Tap. VIOLET appearance, absolutely unique. I mean, it was REALLY violet. Slight vinegarish smell but the aroma and taste are dominated by the intensity of the prickly pear fruit. Thick mouthfeel, I kept expecting there to be seeds in there as I swished it around in my mouth. Dry finish. I enjoyed this a lot! It will probably be at the 2003 GABF and they'll probably think of a new name for it there, and we'll have to reroute the ratings like last year with their Mustang Lambic.
