Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Nov 8, 2009 Received a 22-oz bomber via secret santa in 2008. Pours a semi-clear amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of caramel malt, some floral hops and a hint of yeast. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, a hint of chocolate and just barely any detection of Belgian yeast. Finish is semi-sweet with a caramel malt and floral hop aftertaste. Somewhat like the regular American Amber but with a very faint yeast aftertaste. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Feb 18, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours deep amber with a small white head, mild lacing. Nose of fruity malts and very light spicing. Not as crisp and dry as I was hoping for from the "belgian" name tag. Hopped up finish, sorta like they took their hoppy amber ale and just dropped a Belgian yeast strain and didn’t ferment it at very high temps to get a lot of esters. kyzr (1119), Belgrade, Montana, USA Jan 27, 2008 Amber color with small white head. Nose of yeast and malt. Flavor is yeasty up front, with caramilized sugar and almost a bit peaty. Light body with light carbination. Leaves a coating on the palate.
