| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2006 (22oz bottle) Clear amber body topped by pillowy off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, floral, light orange/grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some caramel/bread. Watery light-medium body. Mild for the style (arguably the designation of English style IPA makes this something other than an IPA as used on this site), and would make a nice session beer. hopdog (5611), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2008 22oz bottle acquired in trade with kyzr (thanks!). So, my master plan for World domination through becoming the #1 rater for IPAs have finally been realized. I demand $1 millllllion dollars! Poured a medium and clear orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, some caramel, and light citrus. Tastes of caramel, tea leaves, and some floralness. More sweet than bitter (but it is described as in the English Style). Thinner body. CaptainCougar (5523), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of lightly sweet pale malt and some mildly grassy hops. Body starts with decent fullness and a light caramel sweetness with some big bittering hop balance. A decent IPA with a crisp finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Received from kyzr via trip to Montana back in 2007. Pours a semi-clear copper colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus zest a hint of lemon and a touch of earthy spice. Taste is fruity caramel malt, with plenty of citrus flavors that overpowers any other flavors. Finish is semi-dry with some mild bitterness and citrus aftertaste. Bottle held up pretty good after two years of aging. riversideAK (2779), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2007 Thanks kyzr for the bomber. Aroma is extremely faint. Perhaps some floral perfumey hops, but they are hard to find. Pours a goldish copper with a head that disappears quickly. Flavor is really that of a golden ale. Its got some moderatley sweet light malts, a little bit of a honey thing going on, and a light floral finish. Rather light and easy drinking, this is a great session beer. Not alot of bitterness, no dryness, a little lingering sweetness. All in all, a nice balanced drinkable beer. It didnt seem to really be an IPA to me though. Maybe more like an English Pale Ale. Still a tasty brew.
