Aroma is medium sweet, floral, some bread, light caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, floral/orange, bread/caramel. Watery light-medium body, light chewiness. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 3, 2008 Bottle courtesy of kyzr: Pours a transparent deep golden bronze with a spotty white head. Aroma of pale malts with a touch of sauerkraut. Body starts lightly sweet but drying and thinning quickly with some mild tartness. This definitely seems infected and off. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 7, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Dull caramelized cereals observe earthy, leafy hops attempt to take control as they paint mediocre flavors and bitterness onto this slightly disorganized English-style Pale Ale.
Further PErsonal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy amber.
-Tartness builds as you go through the bomber. Surely something is awry.
-Balance is achieved I guess, but clarity and structure in the flavor profile would be needed to say it was successful, imho.
-Effervescence remains soft and thus the lean body is able to offer drinkability.
-This isn’t that bad, but I cannot deem it a good example of a session Pale Ale either.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Received a 22-oz bomber via trade with kyzr. Pours a semi-clear copper amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of floral hops, some light caramel malt, and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of light caramel malt, some floral hops, a touch of spice and some toffee. Finish has a nice balance of floral hop and caramel malt aftertaste. Very little bitterness from the two years of aging. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2004 The beer after extrication from the brown 22 ounce bottle pours nebulous deep amber to mahogany color with a Bunyanesque creamy light tan head, the lace a thick and glutinous sheet to obscure the glass. Nose is lightly floral, backed up by a nice malt sweetness, quite crisp and clean. The beer starts lightly sweet with a nice malt profile; the top is fair to middling in its feel to the palate. Finish is orthodox in its acidity; the hops are purposeful in their spiciness, the aftertaste quite dry, and a real refresher as its 103 here today. 5000 (2634), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Bottle pours vibrant orange, light sediment, mediocre fizzy white head, spotty lacing, with light carbonation. Grainy nose, slight diactyl. Strong grains on the tongue with very light malts. Seems also a bit metallic. Decent hop profile tho. Body and mouthfeel are medium, bordering on the thin side. Metallic finish, slightly harsh. Meh...
