Its a good version of budweiser. Nothing more, nothing less. hophead75 (1954), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 4, 2007 sampled at the brewpub. Amber in color, medium sized off white head with pretty active carbonation. Nowhere near the amount of hop character I thought this was going to have after reading the description. Some caramel/toasted grain in the aroma, but even that was somewhat muted. Taste was pretty bland with caramel and toasted malts and a very light hop bitterness in the background. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Clear glowing amber-orange coloured ale over which lasts a large off-white head. Healthy looking pour. Straightforward, quite grainy, cerealic and slightly tart ale with a certain mineral backbone. Limited fruitiness, quite sweet on the palate and holding a minimal bitterness of a herbal and leafy nature. Kinda lame finish. Gentle carbonation. HoppityHop (106), New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Lacking in aroma, what was there was basically malt. Coloring was a lighter shade of maple syrup. Head was impressive, as was the lacing. Flavors were on the mild side with no real flavor of anything but caramel malts. Easy to drink, but honestly, a bit watery. Unoffensive to the casual beer drinker, which makes it basically forgettable to the rest of us. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Sampler at the brewpub. Light caramel and toast aromas with an annoying touch of butter in the nose. Grainy to light caramel malt flavors with some grassy and citrusy hops underneath. OK, but like many other ambers it’s mostly forgettable. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2006 Tap. Pours a nice medium to deep amber with a thin film of a head. Aroma is slightly nutty and caramel malts, with a balance of herbal and tea-like hops with hints of citrus. Flavor is slightly sweet with caramel malts, bready, herbal and slightly tea-like especially in the end. Nice clean bitterness and finishes crisp and light. Nice amber.
