This one has more of a hop flavor, much more alcohol, but by tasting it it doesn’t seem to be 6.5%. It is easy to drink and does have a caramel flavor with some spices that I just couldn’t figure out. Very Good. HoppityHop (105), New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2008 This is a nice "by the numbers" Marzen with a bit of a boosted alcohol presence. Nice copper color, with a slight tannish head and a bit of lacing. There’s a good malt flavor with a bit of vanilla in the background. August done good! bigrond (1054), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2007 sampled at JJ Bittings. Amber in color, aroma is malty with toasted malts, some caramel, and light floral hops. Taste is skewed to the malt side with alot of caramel, and light roasted malts. Light hop bitterness. OK. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Clear bright orange coloured lager covered by a very large, lasting off-white foam. Fresh and really cerealic nose has the typical Vienna toastiness. It feels quite strong despite the relative thinness. Bready grain alcohol notes peak through. Feeling kinda spot on with the spirit of the modern fest in a way. Impossible to pick out fruitiness, but grapey if anything. Straight-on toastiness. pjlisowsky (1), USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Huge toasty malt nose and flavor. Quite sweet, almost bockish. Deep copper color with tiny off-white head. Smooth full mouthfeel. Sweetness rises in finish jcwattsrugger (5563), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
