| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2008 Cask Conditioned - Poured muddy copper with a fairly large small bubbled white head. The head quickly dissappears to a small white lacing. The aroma was warm and a bit orangy. The flavor was much of the same - not as bitter as I would have liked and not as good as the ESB’s that I love. bigrond (1045), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 19, 2007 Golden amber, with a small white head and almost no lacing. It looks nothing like a true English bitter, and the aroma and flavor was more along the lines of a pale...and a weak one, at that. Not hoppy, not malty, not horrible, but not impressed. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2007 Cask. Pours a slihgtly cloudy deep muddy copper with a thin lasting head and very fine cobweb lacing. Aroma is fruity, light yeast, some herbla and tea-hops- very english like with a light toasty malt backbone. Smooth flavor- light bready malts, yeast, fruity esters- becomes a bit muddled, but finishes pretty smooth. illinismitty (1797), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2006 Cask at brewpub. Pours pale golden amber with lacing off white head. Orange and caramel aroma, but faint. British Caramel and toffee malt flavor, finished by a mild bitterness. Even for a bitter, this was tad thin. Plus this lacked the earthiness of a true bitter. Still respectable in my book. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 13, 2005 Cask... Poured a golden color with a large, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of diactyl, toasted dough, toffee, and light citrus. Taste of citrus, toffee, grains, and more diactyl. Somewhat disappointing.
