Commercial Description:
Dark and mysterious, our stout faetures a heavily roasted character and a lingering, espresso-like bitterness. The addition of oats to the mash produces a creamy sensation in the mouth. As an extra bonus, I left this stout unfiltered to enhance the fullest flavors.

A good beer but not perfect.. The "espresso-like bitterness" is a good description for this beer. It leaves a taste of burntness in your mouth as well. Nice dark, black appearance and dark tan head. Nice palate. The taste is almost too much for a whole pint. Very burnt, espresso, bitterness to it.

On tap at bittings. Pours a deep dark brown almsot black with a lasting beige head. Aroma is nutty, doughy yeast, caramel, chocolate and light roast. Full flavor- sharp dark caramel- special B sweetness, Toffee, sharp dark chocolates, and some modest coffee roast character in the end. Mildly bitter.

I was unimpressed with this oatmeal stout. It lacked any real palate and had nothing going else goin on either. Very dissappointing.

Major coffee-espresso flavors going on here, plus a lot of nuttiness that’s either enjoyable or disgusting, depending on your tastes. Black like tar.

on tap-pours a rocky tan head that laces. Color is brown with red tint. Aroma is dark malt. Taste is coffee, oatmeal, dark malt. Nice, even though not my taste.

Roasted nose, dark black color, lathery head. Dark roaste malt body with an espresso finish. The roastedness covers the fact that this is thin and weak, really. Still an OK beer. Fun and enjoyable, but rather average.

Tap at Split Rock. Deep brown tan head. Roasty. Nice and smooth tasting. Malty aroma. Malty flavor. Enjoyable.
