Commercial Description:
The lingering sweetness blends perfectly with the slight roasted character, other malt flavors (toffee, fresh baked bread) contribute, and the whole thing is balanced, but never overwhelmed, by the hops.

on tap-pours a tan head that laces and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty. Taste is dark malt-roasty/chocolate/slight coffee, faint hops. OK carbonation.

Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, some smoke, and sweet chocolate. Taste of smoked malts, with light bitterness from the roasted malts, and some hoppiness as well.

Porter as it should be. Much better than the JJ Bitting’s Stout. Toffee notes. Nice quickly subsiding bitterness.
