Feb 23, 2009 pours ddep brown with a thin off white head. Smoky aroma, roasted malt with a hint of coffee. Flavor starts strong smoke with a faint hint of chocolate caramel and hops. Very thin for a porter, almost watered down. Medium palate, kind of tingly. Decent overall.

Oct 23, 2008 An almost black pour with creamy tan head and lace. Aroma of chocolate and medium coffee. Flavor mirrors the aroma with a slight bitter finish. Mouthfeel and carbonation are solid. A very ncie porter.

Jan 15, 2007 on tap-pours a tan head that laces and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty. Taste is dark malt-roasty/chocolate/slight coffee, faint hops. OK carbonation.

Nov 13, 2005 Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, some smoke, and sweet chocolate. Taste of smoked malts, with light bitterness from the roasted malts, and some hoppiness as well.

Nov 29, 2002 Porter as it should be. Much better than the JJ Bitting’s Stout. Toffee notes. Nice quickly subsiding bitterness.
