weezfour (82), Oradell, New Jersey, USA Apr 27, 2008 Love this beer. Strong clean crisp taste, really bites in with the hops. Nice and bitter if you are into that. HoppityHop (87), USA Aug 5, 2007 Nice coloring, big two finger head, and great lacing has this brew looking great. Flavors of malt are definitely in the background, as this clean tasting pale had a surprising bitterness that was much enjoyed. Mouthfeel and carbonation was pretty much spot-on. The bitterness is really where this pale ale shines, though. Reminds me of Starr Hill’s excellent (and similarly hopped) pale ale. Aroma was really the only place where this one lacked any. Dry hopping could really make this something special. sheatripper (826), Brooklyn, New York, USA Aug 4, 2007 Sampler at the brewpub. Nice amber color with a caramel malt and citrusy hop aroma. Smooth caramel body balanced with a good hand of citrusy and slightly earthy/woody hops. Best of the ones I’ve tried here. beastiefan2k (1120), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Mar 31, 2007 Pint @ brewpub. Light amber color, with compete clarity. Smells of lagered fruitiness and lemon. Taste is slightly burnt malt, again lemon and bad earl grey tea. Again, a slightly lagered fruitiness in the aftertaste, weird. hopscotch (4588), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Nov 24, 2006 Draft... GBOA ’06... Mostly clear golden ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Terrific retention. Sweet, perfumey aroma with some breadsy notes. Good, medium bitter flavor. Just short of full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Lengthy, crisp, lightly bitter finish.
