I was in doubt about anything made by BJs, but anything barrel aged with brett is worth the try. amber pour. The nose was very sour and fruity. I could sit and sniff this all night. sadly the flavor didn’t match up. it was only slightly tart on the tounge and the flavorws seemed muddle and undefined. still the best thing I’ve had from BJs. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Is the 2006 Barrel aged with Brett in a syrah oak barrel. Like hapjydeuce said, it was a standout among all of the IIPA’s and IS there. Sour vinaigrette aroma. Dry and sour with some wine like notes and a nice musty funky finish. Notes also say something about oat like flavors. Probably the brett, as I am not super familiar with brews containing it. Poured reddish with not alot of head. Notes say "Amazing!" goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

This Belgian Strong Ale pours a brownish amber color. Small sized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruity and tart, a touch funky and vinous. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of funk. The hops are earthy. Lots of vinous quality. Sweet and sour, tart and funky. Nice balance. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.
