| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 9, 2007 Draft at BJ’s Pinellas Park, FL. Nice clear copper color with gold edges and lasting thin off white head. The aroma is sweet malts and caramel. Really nice but could be a bit stronger. Had to struggle to get a good whiff. Medium mouth feel with spot on maltiness of sweet malt, roasted malt and caramel malt mix. Nice balance. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2007 tap in plano . pours red tinted with a yellowish head. aroma is berrylike. taste is rough, very rough. raw grain and something burnt. very hard to drink. like sandpaper in liquid form. finish is like treebark. this is tannic and woody from every angle. ugh. original rating 5 3 2 1 4= 1.5
second time around. i was assured that what i was getting was nothing like i recalled. it might have been bad lines, it might have been a bad batch. but this was better. dark brown pour with some red. lacing thick white head. aroma was pecans and syrup with a touch of alcohol. taste was nutty sweet with a nice subdued bitter that left a great nut flavor with some red grape taste. it was a bit acidic and overly sweet, but better than before. 6 3 6 3 14 = 3.2 BrandonB (87), Denton, Texas, USA

The best bock I’ve had to-date. A smooth flavor, full of caramel, and a little like a root beer (as said below). Very good.

There was an odd sweetness in the aroma that I just could not peg... not bad... but not much else came through. Flavor was of sticky caramel and dried leafy hoppage, laced with alcohol. Sticky for the most part on the palate with nice moderate bitterness. IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA
