sample. This is for your buddie who only likes miller light. At least you get to drink some other decent stuff while he thinks he is drinking some real beer.

Tap, sampler. Pours a clear blond color, with almost no head. Aroma is banana, pale malts, lemon. Flavor is the same. Palate is light, mildly carbonated, fruity finish. This one surprised me as I was expecting something really lame. Not that it was that great, just that it wasn’t horrible.

aka Brewhouse Blonde at Natomas. Aroma of light stone fruit with a hint of citrus.A bit bland, but then it’s bottom fermented. Clear light golden color with little head. Starts with very faint fruit, moving to malt. A very lttle bitter in the finish. It’s really light.

Brea location: Very clear light yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was grainy with notes of cereal. Like sweet cheerios. Very grainy tart flavor. More cherios. Light bodied.

This pours a very yellow body with loads of bubbling & beading and a fluffy white head. The aroma is faint and contains sweet, sweet pale malt with a very light touch of grassy bitterness. All bitterness disappears from the flavor, which is all soft sweet malt and a touch of wheat flakes.
Who said this was a Kölsch?

Tap @ San Diego. Very light gold, thin film of a head. Nose is noble hops, light malt, somewhat sour. Flavor is hoppy, some lemon, delicate malt. Slightly bready finish. Disconcertingly thin even though the style dictates it

Draught at the brewpub, Plano TX
Hazy blond color. Ordinary lager, with a light crispness in the malt taste.
