trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Jul 8, 2005 Fairly weak pilsener. Looks good. Sweeter than I expected. Missing the bite that you would expect. Would not order again. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 28, 2004 Clear and golden. Medium body, a little syrupy and thickish even. Very mild carbonation. Sweet and earthy malts -- a little too sweet, perhaps -- with hints of grains, cereal, and honey. Hops were herbal and a little flowery; only mildly bitter. Definitely had the Bohemian thing going on. Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 25, 2004 Draught. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (bread), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a hint of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. This is likely a different batch than when I first had it, and it’s a little cleaner in the aroma now (or so I think). Too sweet, a BJs tradition, and not really something that can compete with the real Czech deal, but it’s passable on its own. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA Jul 6, 2004 Salida, CO Beer Fest-Tap-pours a pale yellow appearance with minimal white head. german hop, sweet malt aroma. the german hops were there, but the palate isn’t very round. Slightly biting bitterness. Not bad, but not great either.
