ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA Nov 20, 2007 Draft at BJ’s Reno. Clear garnet color with a light tan head. Nice sweet malt aroma with some plum notes. Grainy malt flavor, pretty hot. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Feb 21, 2007 5oz sample BJ’s Cupertino, CA - Bartender told me the tap is 60% CO2 and 40% NO2 - Aroma is doughy yeast, mild spice and a touch of lemon. Pours mud puddle brown with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is also very doughy with a touch of citrus tartness and spice. Palate is creamy and a little tart. A non-offensive easy drinkin brew. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jan 20, 2007 The body’s a clear dark brown capped by a slender white head. Nice roasty aroma with caramel and a touch of toffee. Smooth to drink, roasted and sweet with just a tgouch of earthy/herbal bitterness to keep it in balance. Not bad.

fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 6, 2007 Draught at the brewpub, Plano TX Dark brown color, thin persistent head. Aroma of roasted malt. Smooth taste, with a good balance of caramel and roasted malt, the final as well is quite velvety and balanced. A good Stout, more than a Bock. Uriel (144), San Jose, California, USA Jun 29, 2005 Orangey malty aroma, very sweet, also with hints of caramel. Cloudy like a hefe, medium brown body, with very little head. Sugary and clove flavors, with little hops to balance it. VERY sweet - I had to think for a while what I was tasting, and then I realized, the major flavor was exactly like Juicyfruit bubble gum. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Feb 3, 2005 Caramel, chocolate aroma. Ruby brown body with no head. Heavily malted, big caramel taste. Decent doppelbock. A hint of fruit in the background.
