BigBastard (669), L.A., California, USA Feb 12, 2004 Huge aroma of banana, beef jerky, and bread. Tastes like barbequed bananas (tastes much better than it sounds!) I am a fan of this one. htomren (12), Long Beach, California, USA Jun 12, 2002 Surprisingly tasty and belgian-like. Very sweet and spicy, but not overpoweringly so. omnivore (268), San Jose, California, USA Aug 9, 2003 Up front, I have to say this is probably THE best American Hefeweizen I've ever had. It was the nice murky gold typical of the style. Nice light head. The aroma was wonderfully wheaty. My notes just say 'Awesome'. Bitter attack with bright yeasty/fruity overtones that tickled the tongue. Smooth, light, sweet finish. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA Oct 22, 2007 Updated: Nov 13, 20075 oz draft pour, consumed at BJ’s Woodland Hills on 10/22/07. Beer is light yellow and cloudy with moderate head that fades to thin foam skin. Nose has notes of banana and cloves. Smooth texture, flavor echoes aroma. Goes down with no lingering aftertaste. Refreshing and different from most American Hefes. JohnC (1759), Mission Viejo, California, USA Apr 12, 2002 A very good hefe. I had to ask for lemon, though. I thought it tasted even better w/ lemon. Had it @ the BJ’s in Irvine, CA
