Poured clear dark amber color with an average creamy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted nutty malty aroma. Medium body with little carbonation. Medium balanced toasted flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable brew that met my expectations. ratman197 (2358), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 13, 2007 On tap @ BJ’s Westminster poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of carmel, light fruitiness and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, fruitiness and a hint of nuts with a crisp bittersweet finish. Dogbrick (2266), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 1, 2007 On draught at the Columbus location. This beer is a mostly clear yellow/gold color with a medium thin and short-lived off-white head. Spotty lacing. Caramel, citrus and mild hops in the nose. Light-bodied and moderately carbonated with flavors of toasted malt, fruit and hops. The finish is soft with sweet malt and leaves a light spicy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
