Oct 8, 2007 One fabulous brew deep mahogany in color and having a blackberry fruitiness in addition to dark roasted malts in the nose, this beer’s low hop profile balanced the sweet pepperiness of my Italian submarine and the nutty, woody notes perfectly complemented the warm wholesome gooiness of the pizookie. A solid example of well-brewed brown ale.

Aug 31, 2008 7/21/08 On draught at the Tukwila, Wa Brewpub. Aroma is sweet caramel forward with bready roast and true nuttiness. Appearance is clear reddish copper with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is roast bready malt forward with medium bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium carb texture. Overall, very good, and with excellent aroma.

Sep 17, 2004 Nutty, coffee, gently hoppy aromas. Nice lacing, white head. Mahogany color.
Grapefruit, and bitter coffee flavors in the beer, just enough to know it’s there, but not too distracting.

Nov 4, 2003 Has a very dark color to it. A peachy smokey hazel nutty aroma. A very lovel chocolate covered nut body to it also. Most impressive.
