changeup45 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 25, 2008 Dark brown colored with a decent head and some lacing. The beer is sugary sweet with some malts and a touch of bitter hops. Pretty good brown ale but it’s just a little too sweet and sugary.
GMUcrew7 (204), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 29, 2008 1/2 gallon growler from the Cincinnati location. Pours nice dark brown with a ruby hue and a lasting tan head. Sweet malty aroma with some nuts and a decent amount of hops. Similar flavor, nice sweet nuttiness, and more hoppiness than you usually find in a brown ale. The added hops make for a very interesting take on the brown ale, and a very enjoyable brew. tomciccateri (467), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Sep 26, 2008 On tap in El Paso, labeled 5.8%. Pours a clear, deep, dark amber color with a tan head and lace. Slightly dry, rich malty flavor. Nice attempt at a "nut brown". nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 23, 2008 On tap at Bakersfield. Poured a clear brown with a very small head. Aroma of nuts and sweet malt. Flavor was malt and nuts as well. BuckeyeBoy (1181), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 19, 2008 On Tap at BJ’s Reno Location. Pours out a nice brown topped with a sand head. Aroma of nuts and malts.
Tast sweet and malty. A good Brown ale ansermadide (236), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 7, 2008 Updated: Sep 11, 2008(On tap at Austin location on September 6, 2008) Deep-brown, semi-clear mohogany color. Very pretty. The least head, though, of the 4-flight sampler. Still, good carbonation. Very red. Had time taking in any aromas other than the slighted malts. Flavor is more spicy. Good, actually, for a brown. Light and a little watery, however. Alcohol is detectable - although you can tell it’s low. What is that spice?
