Bottled (7% version) at home. Dark brown with a hint of red. Plenty of head, kind och creamy but with large bubbles, beige, yellowish in colour. Coffee, cocoa, citrus and burnt in aroma. Taste is similar, with some bread as well. Alcohol broke through in aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottled. Near black, dense creamy head. Cocoa aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by a variety of malt flavours - caramel, butter and cocoa. Low bitterness. Less powerful and warming than ithe full strength version, but also more drinkable and less sweet.

Head is creamy tan that quickly disappears, and the beer is dark reddish black. Burnt aroma with corky red wine caskiness. It has a crisp brown sugar sweetness with a bitter aftertaste that’s a lot milder than the aroma suggests. Buttery flavor and texture.

Bottle, .5l. A gift from my friend Joshua in Malmö, Sweden. Pours black, black ruby, off white head. Aroma is chocolate, anise, vanilla, caramel, pine, port, oak. Flavor is similar and with emphasis on the port. I had hoped this would be smoky and more rounded. Oh well. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, my mother always used to say. Still, the flavor is disappointing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Clear, dark brown with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and a touch of alcohol - and butter. Quite full-bodied with lightly burned malt accents, some sweet licorice and a whiff of smoke. Subdued bitterness. 191207

Clear dark brown colour with a weak head. Aroma of caramel, malt and little roastedness. Nice flavour of malt, caramel, toffee and very smooth and clean finish.
