Ole_R (1109), Oslo, Norway Jul 17, 2008 500 ml bottle. Tan mediumsized head with big bubbles. Good lacework. Translucent, dark brown body. Sweet dark malts, sweet dark fruits and mild coffee in the aroma. Sugary malt flavor. Coffee and chocolate notes. A little roastiness and even less bitterness. Light to medium body, thin considering the strenght. Sugary-watery mouthfeel. Sugar and some roast in the finish. Not as sweet as his big brother, still too sugary for my tastebuds. pilsnerrogge (1554), Finspĺng, Sweden Jul 5, 2008 Bottled: Deep ruby red with a firm but fast sinking head. Sweet liquorice aroma. Smooth and round mouth feel. Quite sweet with medium roastiness. The alcohol gives it a somewhat harsh finish. A simple and quite quaff-able porter. deft (45), Sweden Mar 22, 2008 Bottled (7% version) at home. Dark brown with a hint of red. Plenty of head, kind och creamy but with large bubbles, beige, yellowish in colour. Coffee, cocoa, citrus and burnt in aroma. Taste is similar, with some bread as well. Alcohol broke through in aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. omhper (10140), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 2, 2008 Bottled. Near black, dense creamy head. Cocoa aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by a variety of malt flavours - caramel, butter and cocoa. Low bitterness. Less powerful and warming than ithe full strength version, but also more drinkable and less sweet.
