Deep clear reddish brown with a rich fluffy beige head. Very intriguing roasted aroma with notes of liquorice, gunpowder, dried fruits, and coffee. Medium bodied and smooth, perfectly balanced with a light initial sweetness followed by a firm roasted bitterness. Infinitely better than the 9.4 % abv version. Not one of my favorite Porters but I would definately buy again. Priced right for Domestic (U.S.) Porter lovers. aliendan (25), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Burnt aroma with corky red wine caskiness. It has a crisp brown sugar sweetness with a bitter aftertaste that’s a lot milder than the aroma suggests. Buttery flavor and texture. gnoff (3574), Göteborg, Sweden

Black colour with pale brown head. Aroma from sugar and coffe. Soft, oily body with slight toast, and alcohol slightly present. Dominant features would be watery coffee, caramel and sugar. This diluted(?) version lacks the bold, somewhat complex characteristics of that of 9,4. It feels thin. Still, pretty good beer, but somewhat one-dimensional.
