| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Czarny Boss Baltic Porter, in bottle at GBBF 2009. Looks great - black-brown with a brown head and a nice nose that gives black treacle, hints of port and smoke, a slight sourness. On the tongue there are raisin and burnt apple notes, but it is over-sweet, the finish too is cloying which detracts from the attractive smoky dryness.
