Some acidity but more than that I wouold say sweetness. The alcohol comes through but never too much. The only real downside is that it felt a little bit thin. Finn (1510), Tromsř, Norway

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Clear ruby lager with a mid-sized, frothy, khaki head. The aroma is of buttery, chocolate popcorn. Port-like flavor with big notes of coconut and dark fruit; lesser notes of chocolate. Leans just a hair on the sweet side of balance. Medium-bodied and watery with restrained carbonation. Sweet finish. Thanks to degarth for sharing! Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 1, 2007 500 mL bottle. Pours very dark red mahogany with thin beige head. The aroma is syrupy brown sugar with some nuttiness a hints of ashes and roastiness. The flavor is roastier than the nose, with lots of dark, nutty notes. There is some subtle pecan smoke throughout. Ashy, mildly bitter finish leaves a firewood aftertaste. Decent beer.
