Bottled. Almost black in colour with a medium sized tan head. Roasted and malty with notes of dark fruit, caramel , coffee but sadly also very strong butter notes.

Black like the name teills you. Chocolate and coffee (as expected). Some acidity but more than that I wouold say sweetness. The alcohol comes through but never too much. The only real downside is that it felt a little bit thin.

Bottle (Lars). Dark brown (almost black) - offwhite head. Raisins, plums, coffee, licorice, brown sugar, butter. It could have been very good.

Pours black with an off-white head. Smells of raisins and malts. This porter is sweet with lots of raisin flavors. Also some dark brown sugar. Slightly oily mouthfeel... Otherwise quite good.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Clear ruby lager with a mid-sized, frothy, khaki head. The aroma is of buttery, chocolate popcorn. Port-like flavor with big notes of coconut and dark fruit; lesser notes of chocolate. Leans just a hair on the sweet side of balance. Medium-bodied and watery with restrained carbonation. Sweet finish. Thanks to degarth for sharing!

500 mL bottle. Pours very dark red mahogany with thin beige head. The aroma is syrupy brown sugar with some nuttiness a hints of ashes and roastiness. The flavor is roastier than the nose, with lots of dark, nutty notes. There is some subtle pecan smoke throughout. Ashy, mildly bitter finish leaves a firewood aftertaste. Decent beer.
