| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2009 500ml. color is dark brown black with ruby highlights. milk chocolate on the the nose with a mild lactic aroma, by that i mean a slight sourness is detected. sweet lightly roasted malt is also present. body is thinner than i anticipated but it does feel round on the tongue. the intermingling of chocolate and vanilla malt sweetness and mild sourness give it an almost barrel aged finish. a roasty malt flavor and mild but noticeable bitterness provide a fine conclusion. high alcohol goes unnoticed. reminds me more of a dopplebock but i see some porter elements to this brew. dnlsartin (68), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Updated: Sep 24, 2009Pours deep dark with hues of amber when held up to the light. Smells of bitter coffee, some milk chocolate, and a bit of roasted toffee. It has flavors of booze and coffee up front intermingled with sweet molasses and chocolate. As it warms, it seems to turn into a bit of a boozy mess and the sweetness becomes almost cloying. Finish is a bit dry and raosted. douglas88 (1626), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

The aroma is pretty nice; loads of toasted malts and lots of caramel. The flavor is a rich dose of caramel, chocolates, toasted flavors and some light fruit. Pretty nice. drjay44 (802), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 20, 2009 500 ml. bottle. Pours a thin mocha head, over a dark brown (SRM 34-35) clear body....nose is molasses, chocolate, coffee. soy sauce....taste initially is beef bullion, soy sauce, then sweet malts, with layers of dried fruit (cherry, raisin) balanced by chocolate and a bit of coffee, finishing with roasted malt and mild hop bitterness....mouth feel is a little light and slightly watery, carbonation is medium. This is a fairly typical example of the style, with multiple layers of flavor and taste, and sweetness throughout. The light mouth feel was a bit off putting. chimaybier (53), Redding, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2009 Dark black which should be no surprise. The first smell is liek Count Chocula cereal, I love it! Robust, chocoalte aroma. The flavor is sweet porter and so easy to drink. This beer was only $2.69 for a 500ml bottle and I feel like it was a complete steal. Fantastic porter from Poland.
