| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2005 Nearly opaque dark brown. Faint, surprisingly light head. This sounded like a crappy novelty beer from some shitty American brewery, but I’m glad I decided to look at the label. Aroma is quite doppelbocky - with chocolate, figs, raisins and porto components. Some vanilla and glints of pipe tobacco. Flavor is initially quite nice - more vanilla and chocolate, but the alcohol quickly burns through that fog. Fades out to sweet instant coffee and a rather harsh roastiness. Palate is syrupy and rather flat, despite high-enough carbonation levels. Coffee with tootsie rolls and vanilla. Still, an interesting find. AlabastorJones (766), San Francisco, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Deep mahogany with a fleeting beige head. Notes of sweet caramel, prunes, dark chocolate, and port. Full and syrupy mouth. The flavor was on the sweet side. Lacked balance but wasn’t bad. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 21, 2005 bottle, filled almost to the top of the neck! Roasty malt aroma, some chocolate and some dark pit fruit presence also. Some booziness noted in the aroma also. Dark brown/deep garnet pour with a tan head that leaves a slight film on the surface of this beer. Thin mouthfeel. Rather fruity, in context of a porter, almost barleywineish to start, maybe an aged barleywine...no wait, I got it...Port wine. I taste port wine. The middle is where the roasted malts come to life, with a nice roastiness to finish. A very different baltic porter than what I have tried before. It is not offensive, but not as good as the others I have tried, most notably Koff Porter. theyouthman (3), USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 15, 2005 A fantastic beer and one worth coming back for. Nice aroma with a full, smooth flavor (just a slight chocolate) and the perfect acidity. jrt (62), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Nothing astonishing here. At %9.4 it gets the job done and is affordable, but, despite being fairly rich, doesnt have much character. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 9, 2005 Raisins, walnut, chocolate and some dried cherries in the aroma. Reddish brown/black with a frothy, but thin head. Huge raisin blast in the fore followed by another huge blast of black licorice and then mild marzipan notes in the middle. Finish wafts on through with dry black licorice notes and a chalky raisin/licorice/burnt aftertaste. This is very nice.
