Pours deep garnet with semi big bubbled tan head. The aroma has notes of dark fruity esters like prunes, figs and dates as well as licorice, burnt malts, some notes of earthiness and a faint hotness on the nostrils. The taste is nice with bold yet even with approachably smooth earthiness mixing with chocolate and burnt malts. Those flavors are followed by an under current of dark fruity esters that tie the taste together nicely. It ends with residual dark fruitiness but mostly roasty malts and fading earthiness. Very pleasing combination of notes creating a very tasty brew.

Pours a dark brown color off-white. Aroma is of roasted malt, light chocolate, and light coffee. Taste is the same with a creamy palate and moderate carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Excellent!

Pours a black color with a thin mocha head that leaves some bubbly lacing. Aroma is dark roasts, chocolate, and dark fruit. Taste is about the same - very creamy and smooth, and balanced.....no alcohol burn. This came from Poland?! Sweet!

~Pours a dark blackish red with a small disappearing brown head. ~Strong sweet coffee, dark fruit and coffee malt scent. ~Sweet taste with chocolate and some fruitiness. ~Goes down smooth. Watery and silky feel. Some alcohol tingle, but really not much considering. Quick finish some bitterness. ~ A very nice strong porter. Easy to drink and very enjoyable. The alcohol quick is nice too.

Pours dark toffee-brown with a thick, fine-textured head. Sweet aromas have a definitely fruity slant that separates this from the majority of porters. In the mouth, this is sweetly chocolatey upfront, then it thins and dries out in the midpalate and finish. The net effect is a reduction in the impressiveness/impact of the beer but also an increase in the drinkability.

Bottle@home Apperance: Very black with a nice brown lace. Beautiful. Aroma: Raisins, Molasses, Bitter chocolate, Ripe fruit. Flavor: Espresso, Ripe fruit, Chocolate, Roasted grain, Caramel. Palate: Very smooth and quite thin liquid makes this an easy drink. Very little carbonation. This brew is just dangerously drinkable for a 9.4% ABV porter. It’s been sitting in my beerpantry for about a year and it has improved quite a bit. It feels alot smoother now. I could easily have a few of these in one evening. Recommended!

Pours a dark opaque black colour with a huge tan head. Aroma is sweet, entcing, noticeable alcohol but lots of nutty character. Palate is rich, dark fruits and burnt toast. Awesome brew.

Deep dark brown coloured body with ruby highlights and a deep dense tan head - perfect for the style! Aroma of a good baltic - meaty, mushroomy, caramel, roasted malt, coffee and a touch of chocolate show very well. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavours with a good backbone of chocolate and the strong savoury flavours come out as well - with some subtle alcohol near the end. Aftertaste shows some complexity with a tiny bit of spice, caramel and mostly mild tastes. Overall, a damn good baltic, rivaling even Zywiec, also from Poland. When I first saw this one, I wanted to try it, and I’m definitely glad I did! Perhaps this aged nicely in the bottle, but I really liked this and would recommend it to anyone! I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased about two years ago from Whole Foods in Portland (Downtown), Oregon, drunk on 05-August-2008.
