Mar 28, 2008 This was a tasty brew and a surprising treat. Bottle... Poured a really deep brown with a huge light brown head. Lagerish-malt and sweet roasted aromas. Highly carbonated, with flavors of chocolate and coffee that are really dominant and hardly any any alcohol flavors, very tangy and maybe some cookies and biscuit flavors.

Mar 18, 2008 A dark brown/ruby with a small light brown head that doesn’t last. Aroma is a sweet molasses and caramel with some dark fruit. Taste is way too sweet for me. Molasses, chocolate, maybe even some soy sauce. It was honestly hard to finish. Small credit giving for hiding the alcohol, but I would not recommend it.

Mar 16, 2008 500ml bottle from Oklahoma liquor. Pours very dark brown with large brown frothy head. Toasted malt, caramel and coffee aromas. Malty sweet finish with chocolate and coffee. Smooth beer that hides the alcohol well.

Mar 16, 2008 Deep brown color, slight head. Roasty toasty grain and a hint of pitted fruit. Tastes a lot like porridge, but delicious porridge. Hides the alcohol well.

Mar 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours deep black with tan head that disperses to a thin layer. Roast aroma. Nice roasted taste, not to thick body, hides the alcohol very well.

Mar 5, 2008 Dark as night. Poured to medium head that stuck around. Aroma of caramel and licorice. In the begining it was lighter than expected and pretty much stuck to that. The alcohol is high and you feel it by the end of the pint.

Feb 19, 2008 pours with a head which quickly dissipates into a nice lace. smells bready with a touch of cocoa and sweetness. the 9.4 % alcohol is well hidden, heavy malt flavors are well pronounced. for $1.99/.5L bottle this is an excellent buy, and an outstanding example of baltic porter

Feb 7, 2008 500ml bottle: pours almost black with a huge off white head. aroma is slighty malty with some roasted smells coming through. flavor is deep in chocolate flavor with some carmel coming through. very well made beer.
