maeib (4106), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Sep 15, 2007 Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig and Pen, Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a tight white head. The aroma is fruity and bready. The taste is mellow. There are malty notes and berry fruits. A hint of warmth also. Nice to drink. chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Feb 11, 2007 Cask (handpump) at The Market Porter, Southwark. Amber colour, with a modest off-white head. Didn’t pick up too much from the aroma. The flavours are a rather unusual melange of dry malt, spicy hop and crisp apple/pear fruit. All in moderation. Light bitterness on the finish. Pleasant enough but I found it a touch lightweight for a strong bitter.
