Cask in state bar. Nutty, sweetish malts, caramel was key, near no sign of hops. But easy drinking.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre BF, Liverpool. Chestnut with no head. Not a lot of condition and a bit watery in mouth. Some good red berry jamminess. Syrupy malty aroma. Might be better in better condition. Some rubbery hop on end. End of barrel?

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, Birmingham B2, UK. Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (120108)

Gravity, Masons Arms, Oxford. Brown sugar, nuts and apple aroma. An apple pie a day after baking. Woody caramel flavor, viney, sweet in an appealing, moorish way. Soft and creamy palate. Nice little mild. From the other ratings, it looks like this often travels poorly, but it can be good! (Cask FFTMC: 6/4/5/3/11 Not such good shape this time. Sawdust, butter, unintentional tartness.)

Dark red with a slight head. No scent. Thin. Slightly bitter but more sour. Some berries but mainly sulphur and metal.
