[2479K-20090814] Tap. Mild sweet floral grains aroma with a hint of plastic. Clear, rich amber body with no head. More mild floral hops flavour. Medium body, carbonated. Not as nice as the cask version.

2009-08-14. Clear brown body with a tiny head. Fruity funky aroma, beets/root vegetable like notes. Flavour is fruity, cherry/beets, weird vegetal character. Slight tang and bitterness. Average palate. I think I prefer the wood version. 5/3/4/3/9 - 2.4 Trafalgar brewed keg, on tap at Black Creek

Draught at C’Est What Spring Festival. Pours a hazy orange-brown with a spare diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma of lightly roasted malt and light dark fruit. Slightly watery flavour of lightly roasted malt, a bit of hops and some dark fruit. Light to average bodied. Nothing bad here, but to me, it’s quite ho-hum.

Draught. At C’Est What Spring Fest. Slightly hazy deep copper with a decent frothy beige head (3+). Roasy, slightly creamy aroma, mild, dry and herbal. Nutty, slightly burnt caramel flavour, cereal grain and quite herbal - I think I was the only one to actually like this beer. Average body, solid (almost too much) carbonation, with a deep roast/slightly burnt linger. Damned good, if you ask me.

On tap at Cest What?
Appearance: Light brown , black tea , fizzy mid creamy top..
Nose: Slight roast , some fruity character with fairly bland end. Hint of hazelnut.
Flavor/Palate : Roasty , thin coffee feel , think bodied, slightly metallic. Lighter plain finish.10-

On tap at C’est What - dark mahogany, clear. Bland, somewhat mild aroma with a bit of sweet malt and brown sugar. Flavour ok, overcarbonated. Reminds me a bit of Wellington’s County Dark. Meh.
