Commercial Description:
Our Award-Winning Marzen/Oktoberfest style lager uses only the highest quality imported German malts, hops and our own Hoepfner yeast strain to produce a well-balanced malty and toasty flavored beer. It has a fine body characteristic of a German-style decoction mash.

Deep amber beer with a thick white head. Aroma is quite malty and sweet. Clean profile with a light floral/noble hoppiness. Sweet and bready tasting with a nice clean finish. Soft caramel and toasted malt with a nice nutty maltiness. Nice brew.

Had it on tap at Black Forest as part of their sampler. It was a deep copper color, and had a malty aroma. Very enjoyable, but average.

This pours a very nice copper color. It has a toasted malt kind of flavor and aroma. The finish is somewhat hopped, which is enjoyable, but I can’t help but think that it is hopped to cover up a mistake. Very interesting as I didn’t know Marzens to have much of a hop character.

Beautiful appearance. Just a delightful caramel color with a pleasant head on it. Really, a pretty beer. No aroma. Taste was good but too smokey.
