| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Growler filled at the brewpub. Pours a mostly clear dark amber with a moderate off-white head that faded to a ring at mid-glass and left a complete webbing of lace all the way to the last sip. Very pleasant aroma of malt and bread with just a hint of chocolate and roasted nuts. The flavor is predominantly malt with some of the bread characteristic from the aroma. Light bitterness at the finish. Fairly well rounded body. Very enjoyable beer. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA

Not too overly sweet, and a lot of decently balanced malts. Strong bready qualities. Dark coppery-colored body and a large, big-bubbled head. Good with dinner. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
