Tap at the brewpub back in September. Pours a clear chestnut brown with a white head. Flavor is bready and malty with a bit of walnut. Finishes slightly bitter.

Growler from brewpub. The aroma is very bready, malty, floral hops. The appearance is amber, almost brown, off-white head. The flavor is malty, bread, nuts, and floral hops. The finish is a light bittering, floral and noble hops. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad overall.

Growler filled at the brewpub. Pours a mostly clear dark amber with a moderate off-white head that faded to a ring at mid-glass and left a complete webbing of lace all the way to the last sip. Very pleasant aroma of malt and bread with just a hint of chocolate and roasted nuts. The flavor is predominantly malt with some of the bread characteristic from the aroma. Light bitterness at the finish. Fairly well rounded body. Very enjoyable beer.

On tap at the brewpub tonight...A pretty decent Alt beer overall. Not too overly sweet, and a lot of decently balanced malts. Strong bready qualities. Dark coppery-colored body and a large, big-bubbled head. Good with dinner.

A lovely brew; dark and malty with a tad less hoppage than their pils. An enjoyable seasonal. Nice to see they still try.
