| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jun 27, 2006 Can - 355ml, brewed in St. John’s, NFLD. Pale blond body topped with a thin white creamy head. Boring malty/hoppy aroma with some corny notes. Taste is weak and lacks complexity. It carries thin bready notes. It ends with a short bitter finish. Useless. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Aroma of corn , adjuncts, amber, with a tiny white head. Flavour has some malt and grass. Medium bodied, sweet. Ordinary. Thanks to Jerc for the can, and Thank You to his lady Karen for delivering to my door. Radek Kliber (4000), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 29, 2006 Gold rather dark for typical pale lager, soapy white head on top. Sweet with slight hop character, grainy. Medium bodied with sweeter, maltier side. Lacking depth and quality finish (chemical aftertaste) BeerMountie (106), Bonavista, Newfoundland, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 11, 2006 Bottle. Light golden colour with a small diminishing white head. There is more in this beer than most Canadian macro lagers. But that still does not make it a great beer. Average at best. blankboy (3261), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Can courtesy of jerc. Pours a clear pale gold with a large lasting fluffy white head. Mild aroma of grain and sugar is stale, sweet and a little sour. Boring. Flavour of sweet grain and corn is watery and bland. There’s definitely worse beer out there but that’s not saying much. I’ll never have it again. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 17, 2005 Can - thanks to jerc. Pale golden-yellow with a small white head. Aroma immediately made me think "old man’s beer" - both sweet and sour, with a harsh finish. There’s a bit more flavour than a typical Canadian macro-lager, but that doesn’t mean it’s any better. At least there are no off flavours. Meh. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Dec 17, 2005 Can courtesy of jerc. Yellow, medium white head. Sweet skunk aroma, harsh, almost smells strong. Light soft mouthfeel. Tastes better than the aroma. Light malt and honey followed by harshness at the end and light hops. Mainstream, but a few positive notes of flavour I guess. I hear this used to be a lot different. HogTownHarry (4026), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Can (355ml). Thanks to jerc for this one. "Brewed only in Newfoundland with pure Newfoundland water" O-kay then. Poured clear pale gold with a huge white shaving cream head - scary. Aroma of corn, adjuncts, fusel alcohol (thanks to Greg for explaining it), stale straw and something sugary. Taste is bland, honey and mild grain, very weak hops, maybe some dead leaves? Mouthfeel is flat, dry and watery. Why does this rate above 2?
