On draught at the brewpub, adjacent to the brewery in Cave Creek, AZ. Pours a clear caramel amber brew with a thick, creamy off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some candi sugar, and a touch of honey. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of sweetened caramel malt, some candi sugar than its aroma and some cotton candy. Finish is semi-sweet, slightly metallic as the brewmaster told me it’s 8% alcohol, with some candi sugar aftertaste. It’s different.

GABF 2005: Orange color with no head or lacing. I usually enjoy all bocks but, this one was nothing special.

Cloudy yellow orange. Light fuzzy head. Sugary sweet but without distinctive character.

Drinkable, very plain, nothing too exciting. No head ad no lace at all. Very strange aftertaste.
