[2076-20090404] Cask. Rich coffee cream and chocolate-infused aroma. Black body with a small long-lasting creamy light tan head and thick lacing. Chocolate cocoa beans and coffee beans flavour. Medium-full body is a little watery. Very enjoyable, nice balance.

2009-04-04. Black body with a tan head with a tan head and lace. Aroma of sweet malt, underlying dry roast mocha notes. (7+) Flavour has a tangy malt core with a roasty bitterness and dry dusty malt character over a sweet dark malty base. Smooth average plus palate is lightly carbonated but is unexpectedly rich for a cask and is pleasing as I often lament the thin body of cask offerings. A very good stout, just a bit dry for my own tastes but that is sort of the point - very well made. I look forward to more releases from the Valley of the Smiling Cat! On cask at Rhino

Cask at the Rhino during the Cask Ale Crawl. Opaque brownish black with nice tan head. Sweet roastiness in the nose. Nice choclately sweetness and roast in the taste to a very dry finish. Medium bodied. Enjoyable.

Cask, Rhino, Cask crawl 2009. Very dark brown/black, good sized just off white bubbly head. Pleasant roasty aroma. Great taste - very dry, medium bodied, incredibly drinkable. Some roast, some dry baker’s chocolate. The best Ontario stout I have ever had - great job Mr. Dickey.

Cask at the Rhino - came a very, very dark brown with a small mocha head. Aromas of milk chocolate, nougat, espresso, caramel and roasted barley. Flavour similar, with accents of roasted barley being the most prominent. Slightly thin mouthfeel, but for a dry stout, it’s right on style. Wonderful brew, and I hope Paul Dickey keeps this up. Congrats.
