I tried this beer on May 16, 2008 at "C’est What Restaurant" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a dark brownish black with a creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, and some sugary chocolate. The mouthfeel is creamy, medium-bodied with low carbonation. The flavour is sweet, nutty, and chocolatey with some licorice hints.

May 9, 2008 Dark brown colour. Chocolatey nose with hints of nuts. The flavour is a bit thin but actually has a nice balance of cherry accents and chocolate syrupy character.

Apr 18, 2008 Bottle courtesy of hogtownharry. Pours muddy brown with a tan head. Smells of light cherries, some sweet malt. Tastes of artificial sweet cherries, some cocoa, some earthiness. T was hoping for some more intensity from the cherries, but this is nice. Some caramel on the finish.

Apr 11, 2008 bottle shared by thecheeseman: pours a good black colour with a small tan head. aroma is a cocoa powder not much else no cherry. flavour is pretty much cocoa powder and not much else going on for me. the cherry is defently missing the cheery.

Apr 6, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Oakes. Dark black-brown-red with aromas of Black Forest Cake. Soft body, nice cakey flavors. Good stuff, they either nailed it or named it well.

Mar 16, 2008 On tap at Beer Bistro in Toronto. From memory as I had this a few months ago. I was disappointed with the lack of flavour and body. Faint aroma of chocolate. Black with tan head. Flavour was cherry chocolate but not as intense as I was hoping, not very rich and not much body.
